Matt Hayman – Director & Lead Trainer
Matt has over ten years experience in the substance misuse field, working in a range of roles within the NHS and in service commissioning. He is an adaptable and passionate trainer, consultant, public speaker, and facilitator, and has worked with a broad range of clients from national service providers to local community organisations.
Matt holds a BSc Hons in Behavioural and Cultural Studies from the University of East Anglia. He founded Innovation with Substance CIC Ltd in July 2007 whilst completing a PGDip in Substance Misuse Studies at Sussex University.
Julia Boas – Substance Misuse Consultant & Trainer
Julia holds a BA Hons in Psychology and an MSc in Substance Misuse from Sussex University. She has successfully designed and reported on many research projects and using various forms of quantitative and qualitative analysis relevant to the field.
Julia brings a unique blend of frontline service delivery experience underpinned by a well regarded academic background. Julia’s interests cover all aspects of substance misuse from psychopharmacology and effective interventions to clinical governance and evaluation.
Dr Michael Morgan – Academic Adviser
Visiting Professor at the Norwegian Centre for Addiction Research, University of Oslo, and Convenor for the MSc in Substance Misuse at Sussex University.
Published in many academic journals including the Journal of Psychopharmacology and with interests in neuropsychology, Dr Morgan brings a wealth of research insight to the team.
